    Article summary

The 1D Model Health Checker is designed to help modellers and auditors find and fix data consistency errors within models. The Health Checker only carries out consistency checks on the data within the model and does not try to see if the data within the model is valid for the purpose it is being used for. The Health Check does not make any judgements about the style of model, physical representation, etc. Therefore it is possible to have a very consistent model that for all intents and purposes is not representative of the physical system being modelled.

However, use of this utility will assist in removing common modelling errors and may help in making models run faster, and with better convergence. The Health Checker also incorporates some automatic and user assisted error fixing which allows the model user to fix common modelling problems.
