To launch the 1D Model Results Extractor window, select the "1D Model Results Extractor" item under Model Results from Flood Modeller Toolbox.

    1. Select a 1D model .DAT file. This file will determine the nodes for which results will be output. Results files generated using different .DAT files can be analysed, but only data for nodes which match the base .DAT file will be output.

    2. Select the desired .ZZN files by using "Add’ or "By Path’ . See naming notation in the "File naming notation" section for acceptable filename formats. "Add’ will add a single .ZZN file, while "By Path’ will add all the results files in the same folder as the selected .ZZN file.

    3. If a range of return periods have been modelled, the results should be ordered in ascending order of return period. If the return period has not automatically been read, it can be manually entered for each file using the "Edit’ option. The files can be ordered in ascending order either by using the "Move Up’ or "Move Down’ buttons, or automatically using the "Sort’ button.

    4. The storm duration of each simulation will also be automatically read in, if the filename is in an acceptable format. Alternatively it can be manually entered using the "Edit’ option. Entering the storm duration allows the maximum stage and flow for a return period to be estimated from several different storm duration simulations (see Section 6). If only one storm duration has been used, the "Use Storm Durations’ box should be un -ticked. This step is important to ensure that data is correctly output.

When ready, the Extract button on the "Results’ tab should be clicked. This will automatically run Tabular CSV in the background. The progress bar will indicate the proportion of results which have been extracted.

When the 1D model Result Extractor has finished, the .CSV files can be imported into a template spreadsheet. This can be accessed using the "Spreadsheet’ button in the bottom left of the Results Extractor interface.
