Release licence

If you are using a network or cloud licence, there may be times when you need to release a licence. For example, a colleague may have left the software open on their machine, whilst they are out of the office which restricts anybody else from using it. 

To release a licence, follow the instructions below. Please note that these steps can only be performed if you are on the licence server and have sufficient administrative rights. If you do not have administrative rights, contact your IT department for assistance.

1. Using CodeMeter Control Centre:

• Open CodeMeter Control Centre
• Click on WebAdmin to open an internet browser
• Navigate to the License Monitoring tab
• Within this tab, select any product code from one of the CmContainers/Firm Codes (5000219 or 6001358) to access the License Monitoring Details page
• Look for the table with relevant headers, including Client (User) and Action
• Under the Action header, you will find a Release button - click this button to release the licence

2. Direct Access:

• Alternatively, you can directly access the License Monitoring page by opening this page in your browser: http://localhost:22352/license_monitoring/sessions.html 
• The instructions remain the same as described above
