Broken standalone licence

If you are using one of our legacy standalone dongles and are concerned that it is not working as expected, please try the following:

  1. Confirm the USB dongle is plugged into an active USB port
  2. Open CodeMeter Control Center and see if a CmStick appears in the License tab (if you can see an entry, your dongle is working as expected).
  3. If the dongle does not appear in the CodeMeter Control Center, please try another USB port and repeat step 2.
  4. Restart the Codemeter service using Codemeter Control Center:
    1. Go to Process > Restart CodeMeter Service; or
    2. Go to Process > Stop CodeMeter Service. Then Process > Start CodeMeter Service.
  5. If steps 1-4 do not help, please reboot your machine and repeat steps 1-4.
