Replicated Section

The Replicated Section is a quick method for adding a cross-section which has exactly the same dimensions as the cross-section immediately upstream. It can be lower or higher than the upstream section.

Theory and Guidance

The Replicated Section is used to copy the preceding river or conduit section at a distance dx further along the reach and at a level dz lower.

The Replicated Section is a quick method for adding a cross-section which has exactly the same dimensions as the cross-section immediately upstream. The cross-section can be lower or higher than the one upstream. Any number of Replicated Sections can be included following each other.

General

Replicated Sections must be preceded by either a River or Conduit section (not an interpolated section). A replicated section will be the last river or conduit section in a reach if the chainage dx is given as zero.
