    Article Summary

Special markers in River Section nodes are often used purely for information purposes, however they can also be used in conjunction with other tools to edit river networks.

To add special markers to a River Section:

    1. Open the River Section of interest

    2. In the table of cross-sectional data, locate the row to add the special marker. Note that you can plot the cross-sectional data, then click within the plot to select a location, and the relevant row will be automatically highlighted.

    3. The field for special markers is on the far right of the row. Click on the icon with 3 dots to the right of the field.

    4. A new window will open with a variety of special markers displayed.

    5. Check the box of the special marker(s) to add at this location and click OK.

    6. A non-zero value will now show in the special marker field for that row.

    7. Click OK to close the River Section and ensure you save the changes to your river network.
