How to configure the 2D simulation window to setup an integrated 1D urban and 2D simulation

When your link-elements have been created, a linked 1D urban and 2D simulation can be setup.

A new 2D simulation should be defined and the underlying topography details provided on the ‘Domains’ tab as you would with a 2D (only) simulation.

Note
You have now referenced the 2D domain details and are ready to run a 2D simulation, however, to run an integrated simulation you will also need to reference the urban network and link-elements as shown below.

On the 'General' tab, provide the simulation timing details, and check the box to 'Include link to 1D Urban model'.

Your urban network and link-element file are provided on the ‘1D Urban Links’ tab.

Note: Advanced parameters can also be set here, see the Urban Links Tab section of the technical reference for further details.

Ensure you save your simulation to keep any changes. Your integrated simulation is now ready to run. Ensure you use the ADI (default) or TVD solver scheme - the FAST solver is not suitable for integrated modelling.
