After you Add a River Section to your network, you can double-click the node to view the properties.
You must enter the cross-sectional details. The minimum values to define are the x-coordinates, y-coordinates and Manning's n values. Manning's n is a parameter >0 related to the roughness. Manning's n increases as roughness increases. These data can be manually entered into the table provided, or right-click to access functions such as copy and paste.
The Distance to Next Section value must also be provided. This enables you to enter the distance to the next River Section node in the network. This will be zero if the next node in your network is a structure.
The order of your River Section nodes is determined by their order in the 1D River Network panel. Drag and drop the rows here to adjust the order of connectivity as required.
You may also be interested in adding levees, panel markers, or other special markers. These are all detailed within the River section page of the technical reference
Conveyance is also very important to take into consideration.
