The Conduit link **Properties Window** is shown below. ![1DUrbanimagesurbanconduit.PNG](https://cdn.document360.io/5074bc26-a9ef-4bf4-b1de-a5c6ce628aca/Images/Documentation/1DUrbanimagesurbanconduit.PNG) Click in the **Name** field, type a new name and click the Enter key to adjust the label provided to your conduit. This is populated by default based on values set on the **Model Defaults** window, recall how to edit these defaults from the [Urban Networks](/v1/docs/1d-urban-networks) section. The **Inlet Node** and **Outlet Node** are automatically filled based on the node location in the **map** view. A **Description** and/or **Tag** can be optional provided. You may find tags helpful to group components together - this can be a way to categorise specific nodes. To edit these, click in relevant the field, type a new value, and click the Enter key. The **Shape** and **Max. Depth** are specified. By default, these are based on values set on the **Model Defaults** window, recall how to edit these defaults from the [Urban Networks](/v1/docs/1d-urban-networks) section. Click in the **Shape** field and then on the 3 dots that appear to the right of the field and the **Cross-Section Editor** window will open. In this window you can select a shape for your conduit, specify the maximum depth, and specify the number of barrels (identical, parallel pipes). The maximum depth specified here will automatically populate the **Max. Depth** field in the conduit properties window. This value can also be adjusted here by typing a new value and clicking the Enter key. The conduit **Length** and **Roughness** are required. Both of these will be set by default to the value set in the **Model Defaults** window. To edit the values, click in the relevant field, type a new value, and click the Enter key. Note that the **Length** will be automatically calculated from the length of the line drawn on the map if the default length is set to zero in the **Model Defaults** window. Recall how to edit these defaults from the [Urban Networks](/v1/docs/1d-urban-networks) section, however for this to apply to a **Conduit** link, you will need to redraw the link - the length is only calculated at the point of the link being drawn. The conduit link **Additional Parameters** can all be edited by clicking in relevant the field, typing a new value, and clicking the Enter key. These parameters include the **Inlet Offset** and **Outlet Offset**. Conduit links can have an offset specified at the inflow and outflow ends. This is the distance from the invert level of the inflow/outflow node. The value may be as a depth or elevation, as specified by the **Offset** convention set in the **Model Defaults** window. Please see the [Urban Conduit Link](/v1/docs/urban-conduits) section of the technical reference for further details on the parameters set here. A **Flap Gate** can also be specified so prevent backflow. This option will be set to NO by default. Click in the field to access a dropdown and change this to YES if required. A **Culvert Code** can be optionally provided. Note: The Culvert code number is used only for conduits that act as culverts and should be analysed for inlet control conditions using the FHWA HDS-5 method, please see the [Urban Conduit Link](/v1/docs/urban-conduits) section of the technical reference for further details.
