# Trial licence activation

You can request a [14-day free trial](https://www.floodmodeller.com/trial) of the Lite edition of Flood Modeller.

If you trial request is successful (limited to one trial per person), you will receive an email shortly after completing the form on our website which provides a unique activation link.

This guide should be followed to install the trial licence.

1. [Install Flood Modeller](/v1/docs/installation)
2. Open your unique activation link in a browser (this can be found within the email you received)
3. Click the green **Activate Licenses** button (this will tie the trial licence to the machine you're currently using)
4. Click the green **Activate Selected Licenses Now** button
5. A pop-up will confirm the licence has installed successfully
