# Remote session access

If you are using a standalone licence and are trying to remotely connect to Flood Modeller, the software will not open. This is not permitted under the terms and conditions of our [End User Licence Agreement](https://www.floodmodeller.com/agreements).

If you need to remotely access the software to enable colleagues in other offices to access Flood Modeller, or to work remotely from other locations, you will need to upgrade your licence to a cloud licence.
