On some systems, Flood Modeller may display a message the first time it is launched due to a third‑party mapping component.
If you see the following message when opening Flood Modeller, please follow the steps below to apply the fix and continue working as normal.
To resolve the issue:
- Browse to the Flood Modeller\gui folder. By default, this is located at: C:\Program Files\Flood Modeller\gui
- Locate the regMapWinGIS.cmd file.
- Right‑click the file and select Run as administrator from the menu.
- A Command Prompt window will open and display progress while the process runs. Once complete, the window will close automatically.
- Double‑click the Flood Modeller shortcut (or the executable) to launch the software.
