Flood Modeller provides multiple options for editing the properties data of 1D urban model elements, including Editing urban networks using the edit and view tool.
The group edit tool enables a single selected element property to be changed for all elements of this type selected in the map view.
The tool is accessed from the Toolbox tab of the right panel. It is in the Global Edit > 1D urban section.Alternatively start to type the tool name into the Toolbox search bar (at the bottom of the panel) and all tools matching the search text will be highlighted in the Toolbox above.
Double-click on the tool to start. However, if only a subset of urban elements require editing then first highlight these in the map and/or 1D urban links or nodes tables (in right panel, 1D urban tab).
The new tool appears in a popup window, as shown below. The editing process is configured by the following user selections:
Select urban element type, options available in dropdown list are:
Subcatchment
Junction
Conduit
Infiltration
Storage unit
(Optionally) specify subset to edit defined by a user entered Tag value. Only elements with a matching Tag will then be edited.
Select property to edit. The options in the property dropdown list will change depending on the selected urban element type.
Select an editing operation. Available options are:
By replacing with
By multiplying by
By adding to it
The latter options are only available for numeric edits.
Type in the new value (or the value to be used for multiplying or adding)
Tick box to apply changes only to the selected elements in the map view and/or urban tables. Leave this box unticked to apply changes to all elements of the selected type within the active urban network.
Once all settings are specified click OK to apply the changes. The tool will report the number of elements that have been adjusted. It will also give the option to define and apply further edits by keeping the tool open (or just close the tool).
Click Cancel to abort the editing process.
Note that these changes will not be fully applied to the active network until the Save urban network button in the main toolbar is clicked.
