# Start new, load and save projects

When you first open a new session in Flood Modeller the interface will automatically create a new empty project.  You can choose to start adding data to this, or load an existing project.

To start a new project, load a project, or save the current project you are working on:

 1. Click on the **Home**	  tab

 2. On the far left in the **Projects**	  section of the tab, click **New**	  , **Save**	  , **Save As**	  or **Load**	  as required.
