How to select the link-elements to use when integrating 1D urban networks and 2D components

    Article summary

You can set up a flow-type link-element from compatible nodes in your urban network.

A flow-type link-element passes the flow from the urban network into the 2D domain. Outfall nodes can be connected using these. Junction nodes and flow-divider nodes can also be connected using these, however in this case ponding should be turned on and a ponding area set for each of these nodes.

More information on setting the ponding area, and using the weir-type link (for more advanced users only), can be found in the Link Elements section of the technical reference.

Advanced settings can also be applied to your link-elements, find out about these in the Link Elements section of the technical reference.
