To view results from structures embedded in 2D models, you must first have a completed 2D or 1D-2D linked simulation.
The plotting tool enables visualisation of the hydraulic data produced from one or multiple embedded structures on a single chart.
Steps
In the 2D Results section of the Results tab, click the Embedded Structures button. The plotting tool will open in a new window, initially showing a blank chart.
Select the results by clicking the button on the top right of the plotting window and browsing to the .csv file(s). The naming convention for each file is:
model-name_domain-name_embedded1D.csv
The result file loads and the discharge and/or mode plots will be displayed if both/either of these are selected in the Show Discharge and Show Mode checkboxes on the top left of the plot.
Select a variable to plot by clicking in the box next to the dataset. A tick will appear in the box and the associated data will be displayed in the chart.
Tip:
Use the button to the left of the Show Discharge and Show Mode checkboxes to expand/collapse the tree view of all available variables.
Note:
Once data are added to a chart you can zoom in to see more detail by depressing the left mouse button and dragging the cursor across the chart (a zoom rectangle is displayed with dotted lines to show the defined zoom extent). Alternatively, roll the centre mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. You can also pan the chart view by depressing the mouse scroll wheel and dragging the cursor across the chart.
