# How to move an urban Rain Gage node

Please note it is not necessary to move Rain Gage nodes other than for visual purposes. You will specify in your **Subcatchment** nodes which **Rain Gage** should be used, therefore the placement of the node itself does not matter.

On the **1D Urban Build tab**, initially confirm you are in **1D Urban selection mode** by ensuring the toggle is coloured blue.

Click the node you would like to relocate in the **map** view to highlight it. Then right-click anywhere on the map to access the right-click menu, and select **Move Nodes**.

You can now click the node in the **map** view and drag it to a new location. When you are finished, use the **right-click menu** again to exit **Move Nodes** mode. You may need to then click the map to refresh the view.
