In the Dynamic Wave tab of the urban Model Settings window, details of certain calculations within Dynamic Wave routing are specified. This tab will rarely need to be used, aside from for the Variable Timesteps checkbox, which is particularly important if integrating your urban network with river networks and/or 2D components.
The Calculation Specifications are specified here; a user can select a Force Main Equation from either the Hazen-Williams or Darcy-Weisbach formulae to compute friction losses for pressurised flow. We refer the reader to the section of the technical reference for further details.
The Variable Timesteps checkbox will be checked by default. This needs to be unchecked if integrating your urban network with river networks and/or 2D components.
