    How to run uncertainty analysis


    Article summary

    After all inputs have been set, press ‘Run Current’. This should launch a console window as UMap starts processing the data. Once, execution has successfully finished you will be shown some of the key run time data and asked to press Enter to continue:

    UMap Output Data

    The output from your UMap analysis will be a multi-part shape file created at location specified in the interface.Each part will be based on the classification based on the threshold levels specified. The data assigned to each part can be seen in the associated dbf file. An example output is shown below:

    The classes in the output file correspond to:

    • 0 represents no data;

    • 1 represents the range 0 to threshold 1;

    • 2 represents the range threshold 1 to threshold 2

    • 3 represents the range threshold 2 to infinity

    Where thresholds 1 and 2 have been user specified.

    Batch Runs

    The UMap tool includes a batch run facility. For specifying multiple runs, after specifying each set of individual inputs click ‘Add to Batch Run’ in the lower left corner of the UMap interface.

    To start batch run, select the ‘Batch Run’ tab and click ‘Run All’.
