Modifying the elevation of an area within your model can be used for specifying elevations for proposed defences, filling holes/areas of missing data in your underlying DTM, and much more.
The z-mod tools enable you to define a z-mod area where you want to specify elevations. This could be a polygon, a line, or individual points.
Once your shape is created, you can use the z-mod vertices tool to automatically fill the vertices with elevation data from a grid, such as a DTM.
Additionally, you can edit z-mod attributes. This allows you to manually adjust the elevations at individual vertices. This also enables you to specify the method selected by the solver, for example, that the values provided are to be added to the topography elevation, rather than the default method of replacing these values.
Once your z-mod features are fully defined, you can quickly and easily add z-mod features to a 2D simulation.
Z-mod features can also be combined; specifying z-mod lines within z-mod areas, for example. In this way, you can effortlessly modify elevation data to model any scenario required.
