# Conservative

The unit models transport of a conservative pollutant or tracer in a river or other channel.

## Description
The variable simulated by the module is simply a transported substance which does not decay.    It therefore behaves like salt, except it does not interact with any other variable.  

The primary use is to model the transport of a conservative substance, such as cadmium, which is released into the river system.


## General
The CONSERVATIVE module may be run independently of the other water quality modules. The CONSERVATIVE module simulates the transported variable name:
 
* Conservative pollutant (user-defined units)
