Flood Modeller provides functionality to [start a new simulation](/v1/docs/how-to-start-a-new-2d-simulation) and also to [load a simulation](/v1/docs/how-to-load-a-2d-simulation). When setting up 2D simulations, the timing and simulation type must be provided, alongside the domain and boundary details. This is all done when you [configure the simulation window](/v1/docs/how-to-configure-the-simulation-window-to-setup-a-2d-simulation). Although other tabs on the 2D simulation window can be left at the default settings, Flood Modeller provides the option to adjust these as suits your needs. This includes [selecting the parameters output](/v1/docs/how-to-select-2d-simulation-outputs) from your simulation, and [selecting the solver](/v1/docs/how-to-select-a-solver) to be used, including [the GPU solver](/v1/docs/how-to-use-the-2d-gpu-solver) to run simulations faster than ever. Once everything is setup, there are several options provided to [run the simulation](/v1/docs/how-to-run-a-2d-simulation).
